As you know we have chosen the alpha wolf to be our mascot. After much debate, scrumped up paper and editing, we have created the final product. I would like to give a big thanks to Jen Armstrong, our vice president, for all her hard work. I think she has done an excellent job and so this logo will appear on our banners, hoodies and flyers.
I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Alpha Iota is back guys and ready to be more active than ever!
This year we plan to expand social connections, increase philanthropy and indulge in sorority traditions. We are taking on a mascot to represent the sorority, this mascot will be the wolf. The wolf symbolizes wisdom, courage, loyalty, strength and family. We have also taken on Alpha Iota colours which are grey, black and pink. these will be incorporated into the hoodies and onesies that will be ordered throughout the year.
The main aim for the rest of the year is our philanthropy, we will be focusing on the naked calender for breast cancer and would appreciate if you could sign up as soon as possible. We have decided to go with a quirky calender day theme, of days in the month that people are not aware of. The calender will be on sale on freshers week, were we will recruit new members for the year. Another plan for the year is to have Alpha Iota and Delta Epsilon parties and nights out to bring us closer together.
I look forward to an amazing year and seeing you all again 🙂

When I look at Alpha Iota today, its hard to believe it all only started 8 months ago. Back in September I had the ‘America Blues’ and one day, I decided I was going to start up my own sorority in the UK, just like my friends back in the USA. At this time I had no idea how much it would grow and how successful it would become!
This year we have become one of the biggest societies at Dundee University with around 40 dedicated members. We have been involved in every aspect of student life, collaborating with other societies, putting on public events for students, and cooperating with the Student Representative Comittee (SRC) to ensure that all of our members make the most out of their experience at Uni and with AI.
We have put on several events, all of which have been a tremendous success. These include the Sorority Hunt, Initiations Night, our Cash for Kids Bakesale, and of course the highly successful Frat Party, which was one of the busiest society events of the year.
Throughout the year we have built up a great committee, all of whom I thank with all my heart, as this could never have happened without all of your help. We have also been graced with a society full of loyal and dedicated members, who have worked so hard to promote our society and our events, had flawless attendance, and are all simply amazing people. So thank you all for making AI/DE such a success. I want to thank the VPSA at Dusa, Rachael Doherty, who helped me start up AI. She not only talked me through the whole thing but she has also become a great friend and mentor. And finally I want to thank my VP Rachael Deas. She has kept me sane throughout every event, and helped so much in every aspect of the society. Sorry for driving you mad at times Rach!
All I can say now is how proud I am of everyone in Alpha Iota/Delta Epsilon, its been such an honour to get to know you all and I count you all as friends 4 LYF.
Thank you, love you all, and have a great summer!
TT 🙂
